The lastest album of Negura Bunget is simply called "Om", in reference to the holy sound of Hindu beliefs. This is the most matured album, with attractive songs, a great amount of different melodies, some of them full of pagan, nature and relaxing atmospheries. Perhaps, the Black Metal part is stronger than in past albums, but the band continues with their force and ascedent star. Highly recommended!

El último album de Negura Bunget es simplemente llamado "Om", en referencia al sonido sagrado de las creencias hindues. Este es el album más maduro, con canciones atractivas, una gran cantidad de diferentes melodías, algunas de ellas repletas de atmosferas paganas, naturales y relajantes. Quizás, el elemento Black Metal es más fuerte que en albumes anteriores, aunque la banda continua con su fuerza y estrella ascendente. Altamente recomendado!

Since "Dödsfärd", Månegarm has been a band that has been growing more releasing great albums of Viking Metal. Besides, Månegarm has a marked personality, hard to find issue nowadays.
Nattväsen keeps the line of their previous releases, maybe recalling sometimes too much previous melodies. Mid-tempo is also more abundant though in some parts they still recall their blackest and darkest roots as in Vetrarmegin, and of course we have the classic epic and catchy moments with choirs and violin, the title-track is good prove.
Nattväsen might be not so great as the previous Vargstenen, but still quite enjoyable.

Desde "Dödsfärd", Månegarm ha sido una banda que ha crecido más y más sacando discos de escucha obligada para los seguidores del Viking Metal. Månegarm es además un grupo con personalidad marcada, característica difícil de encontrar hoy en día.
Nattväsen sigue la línea de sus anteriores obras, tal vez por veces recordando demasiado anteriores melodías y cambios de ritmo. Abundan también más medios tiempos, aunque de vez en cuando recuerden sus raíces más black y oscuras como en Vetrarmegin. Por supuesto seguiremos teniendo grandes momentos épicos y pegadizos marca de la casa con violín y coros, la canción que dá título al álbum es buena prueba de ello.
Aunque es un disco que baja un poco el listón del genial Vargstenen, aún así es disfrutable.

The newest release of the multinational project Folkodia follows the steps of the first album, thus: epic melodies, wide use of folkish instruments, viking and pagan lyrics and pretty songs... The album musicians are practically the same that in the first album. In this LP, the writers of songs have prefered an indoeuropean and aryan lyrics... but this is rotundely not a NS music album! The productions is perhaps worst than previous album, but is not bad. Really a good album!

El lanzamiento más reciente del proyecto multinacional Folkodia sigue los pasos del primer album, esto es: melodías épicas, amplio uso de instrumentos folk, letras vikingas y paganas y atractivas canciones... Los músicos del album son prácticamente los mismos que en el primer album. En este LP, los escritores de las canciones han preferido unas letras indoeuropeas y arias, pero, ¡este no es un disco de música NS! La producción es quizás peor que el anterior album, pero no es mala. ¡Realmente es un buen album!

Russians Arkona come back to the scene with "Goi, Rode Goi!", a must listen for Pagan Metal fans. With collaborations of Månegarm, Skyforger, Heidevolk, Obtest and Menhir members and many and diverse folk instruments of diverse origin, the release has a good production and keeps the pagan spirit of their previous works. A solid album with great atmospheres and varied at the same time.
Personally, I believe this can be an album that can be enjoyed with every listening. At the moment I just listened 2 times but I am very satisfied.

Los rusos Arkona vuelven a la escena con "Goi, Rode, Goi!", un álbum que hará las delicias de los amantes del Pagan Metal. Con colaboraciones de miembros de Månegarm, Skyforger, Heidevolk, Obtest y Menhir, numerosos instrumentos folk de origen diverso y una producción a la altura, "Goi, Rode, Goi!"mantiene el espíritu pagano de sus anteriores obras, haciendo de éste un álbum sólido y con grandes atmósferas a la vez que variado.
Personalmente creo que puede ser un álbum que gane con cada escucha, de momento sólo van 2 veces y me ha dejado muy satisfecho.

Third full-length of the Faeroean band. This is a very curious album. Many tracks but not all of them are a authentic song. There are many little interludes and intros with acoustic guitars and atmospheric passages. And the songs properly named, many of them are typical of the band: slow melodies, epic passages, progressive details and the characteristic voice of Heri Joesen. This isn't my favourite Týr's album, but is not bad...

Tercer larga duración de la banda feroana. Este es un album muy curioso: muchas canciones pero no todas ellas son una canción auténtica. Hay muchos pequeños interludios e intros con guitarras acusticas y pasajes atmosféricos. Y las canciones propiamente dichas, muchas de ellas son típicas de la banda: melodías lentas, pasajes épicos, detalles progresivos y la característica voz limpia de Heri Joesen. Este no es mi album favorito de Týr, pero no es malo...

The newest release of Týr is a great change in their career. Their previous albums are a demostration of progressive viking metal, more slow, more dense than this one. Now, "By The Light Of Northern Star" is a faster album, the songs are similar at Nomans Land's ones. More epic, faster and a little touch of melody, and really a very good album.

El nuevo album de Tyr es un gran cambio en su carrera. Sus discos previos son una demostración de viking metal progresivo, más lento, más denso que este. Ahora, "By the Light Of Northern Star" es un album más rápido, las canciones son más similares a Nomans Land. Más épico, más rápido y un pequeño toque de melodía, y realmente muy buen album.

This release marks a strong change in Moonsorrow's career. After an albums more orientated to viking and folkish elements, Moonsorrow blackened their sound with "Verisakeet". Very long tracks, but still full of epic elements and majesty, but also appears for the first time a furious blast-beat on drums (on "Karhunkynsi", the most complete song ever written by Moonsorrow), more raw guitar riffs and a increased violence in songs. A very important album, with the same quality of the Finnish band.

Este lanzamiento marca un fuerte cambio en la carrera de Moonsorrow. Despues de unos albumes más orientados a elementos folkies y vikingos, Moonsorrow "oscurecio" su sonido con "Verisakeet". Canciones muy largas, pero aun repletas de elementos épicos y majestad, pero también aparecen por primera vez un furioso blast beat de batería (en "Karhunkynsi", la canción más completa jamas escrita por Moonsorrow), riffs de guitarra mas crudos y una violencia incrementada en las canciones. Un album muy importante con la misma calidad de siempre de la banda finlandesa.

Dalriada (before Echo Of Dalriada) is one of the big surprises of the european Folk Metal in the last decade. Almost releasing an album per year, the hungarians are carving out a place in the worldwide folk-pagan scene. They are as well being part of the Paganfest 2009 tour when it stopping in Budapest, sharing scenary with Korpiklaani, Unleashed or Die Apokalyptischen Reiter.
Arany-Album is based around Janos Arany (1817-1882), one of the most important hungarian poets, and the lyrics are shaped around the poems of this author.
In relation to music, Arany is longer than previous releases of Dalriada, chords and style are not changing drastically from their other albums, though the hungarians' musical quality makes it to stay in a high level during all the lenght. Excellent production, and good folkie melodies; composing and song structures well worked and well cared; Arany is another album to enjoy by all the Folk Metal fans and surely one of the most eagerly awaited of 2009.

Dalriada (anteriormente Echo Of Dalriada) es una de las grandes revelaciones del Folk Metal europeo de la última década. A prácticamente un disco por año, los húngaros se están haciendo un merecido hueco en el panorama folk-pagan metal mundial, además siendo parte de la gira Paganfest 2009 a su paso por Budapest, compartiendo cartel con Korpiklaani, Unleashed, o Die Apokalyptischen Reiter.
Arany-Album está basado en la figura de uno de los más importantes poetas húngaros, Janos Arany (1817-1882) y sus letras se conforman mediante poemas de éste mismo autor.
Musicalmente Arany es algo más largo de lo que Dalriada nos tiene acostumbrados, los acordes y estilo no cambian en prácticamente nada sobre lo que han hecho anteriormente, aunque la calidad musical de los húngaros hace que el álbum no decaiga. Producción excelente y buenas melodías muy folkies y composición y estructuras muy bien elaboradas; Arany es otro álbum a disfrutar para todos los amantes del folk metal y seguro que uno de los más esperados de este 2009.
